Foto Arsenal Wien is a new exhibition centre for photography in Vienna.
An exhibition centre is a place where you can look at artworks.
Photography means:
Taking photographs with a camera.
Foto Arsenal Wien has up to 12 exhibitions yearly.
The exhibitions are all very different.
They show:
         Everything is possible with photography.

Foto Arsenal Wien shows photographs of well-known artists.
Foto Arsenal Wien also shows photographs made by young talented people from all around the world.
Foto Arsenal Wien shows photographs from different eras.
Foto Arsenal Wien shows both: analogue photography and digital photography.

• Analogue means: Photographers take a photograph with a camera.
  These photos are captured on film.
  You have to develop these films.
  Only then you can see the photographs.
• Digital means: Photographers take a photograph with a modern camera.

These photographs don’t have to be developed.
You can see the photographs immediately, for example on a screen.

Foto Arsenal Wien has a lot of different offers for children, teenagers and adults.
At Foto Arsenal Wien you can not only see exhibitions.
There are also guided tours, workshops and artist talks about photography.

• During a guided tour, a person accompanies you through the exhibition.
  This person tells you facts about the photographs and the artists.
• At a workshop, you can try things yourself.
  Foto Arsenal Wien even has a dark room.
  A dark room is a room with very little light.
  You develop films in this room.
• Artist talk means: you talk with the artist about their photographs.
