„Joining the plants“ is an invitation to enter the world hosted by our non-human live givers. Starting as human visitors, we will navigate through the ecosystem of the art works and resonate with various phenomena inherent to the plant world. What do we have in common? Looking at communication, pollination, rooting, decay, we will create a temporary collective of bodies and experience new ways of being with the other.

Magdalena Chowaniec works as a choreographer, performer, musician, curator, and cultural mediator. In her artistic practice, she explores choreographic and somatic methods as tools of gentle resistance, socio-political reorganisation, and both individual and collective transformation. Her own artistic projects have been presented at the ImPulsTanz Festival, Kampnagel Hamburg, Wiener Festwochen, and Sophiensäle Berlin. In 2023 and 2025, she choreographed two opera productions at the Vienna State Opera.
